Garmin StreetPilot RAM Mount on a BMW R1150GS
Images and review courtesy of Michel.
Many online users in the GS Users forum know MiGSel. Michel tells us that he wanted a particular mounting solution for a Garmin Streetpilot 2610 on his BMW R1150GS. Instead of using a handlebar mount he put his GPS above the speedo, just below the line of sight. He designed a customized RAM mount to create this solution. The custom made base plate holds a standard 1" RAM ball with 3/8" threaded post (RAM-B-236). From there all 1" RAM mount parts can be used. The mount can be used for other units like the StreetPilot III or GPSmap60C as well. If any GS users want a similar mount arrangement, then please contact Migsel.
