After investigation of available GPS units suitable for motorcycles, this Lowrance unit was selected and installed using RAM Mount adapters. The installation included replacement of the Compact Base/Cradle Ball Adapter to a chrome version (RAM-Comp-CH, a black version was supplied with the GPS) a bar mount (RAM-Bar-CH) and 3” Standard Arm (RAM-STDARM-CH), all in chrome as noted. This is an excellent mounting system; placement and removal of the IWay is easy with no vibration or movement from the handlebar mount when in use. The bar clamp is left in place and the unit and arm removed when not required. The GPS fits easily between the handlebars and windscreen and remains out of the way yet easily within reach. The RAM mounting system allows plenty of movement to orientate the GPS into the perfect position. Thanks RAM for a well thought out and useful mounting system, I’ll be recommending this to other riders…
