Review by Martin Barrett
The Power supply is taken from a 12 Volt waterproof socket mounted on the fairing border. These can be bought from Maplins or a Yachting accessory shop. The receiver is placed on its magnet on the opposite fairing or can be placed in a tankbag or mapholder. The ram ball mounts directly onto the petrol tank bolts with a 3.5 inch arm. A one inch ball is mounted onto the arm with the powered mount fitted to the ball. Only two wholes line up and it is difficult to obtain longer screws the correct size so I opted to use "No nails" from a DIY shop for £1.99 The iPAQ only blocks vision of the rev counter from zero to approx 3000 revs and if a higher tank bag is used then the 5 inch mount may be better.
